Richard Wilcox, Falmouth BID Manager with 2012 map
The Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID) has unveiled the 2012 version of the visually stunning 3D map of Falmouth it created two years ago for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors to the town. The map is another project delivered by the five-year Falmouth BID programme that has four key priority areas -Marketing, Events & Festivals, Physical Improvements and Business Support.

So far in 2012, the Falmouth BID has:
  • launched a FREE car parking scheme throughout February in what was a first for the town
  • co-ordinated and funded the second Falmouth Spring Festival and
  • organised Falmouth’s first Food & Drink Week
All initiatives have the key aims of raising Falmouth’s profile and encouraging extra visits and spend within the town.

80,000 copies of the Falmouth Map and Guide have been printed and will be distributed to a host of places across the Falmouth area including key attractions, accommodation and transport providers and retail outlets. The Visitor Map & Guide also gives a taster of Falmouth’s vibrant atmosphere and environment, with information on key events, coastal walks, shopping and parks and gardens.

Richard Wilcox, Falmouth BID Manager said:
"I’m delighted to have once again commissioned the design and production of the FREE Falmouth Visitor Map & Guide. Last year, we received positive feedback by local businesses and visitors and so it was an easy decision to produce a 2012 version! We have also received some useful suggestions and comments that we felt would further improve the map and as such have been incorporated. It is so important that each and every visitor to our beautiful town has a memorable and positive experience and the Falmouth BID will do all it possibly can to ensure that this happens."
